This month is all about preparation for big events in October. We are collecting boxes and jugs, just beginning our apple harvest. This will bring apple processing in many forms: juicing and drying, saucing and baking.
I’m also eagerly anticipating one of my favourite weeks of the year, a spinning competition week: Spinzilla. For the second year, I’m spinning with Team Louet North America. I’m so eager for the excuse to really focus my energies on spinning for a full week, I’ve been dying and carding and stockpiling wool for weeks. All that dyed wool is now baskets full of batts. It’s gone all the way from this:
To this:
Wow, that is some stockpiling of fibre! You are going to spin like a banshee. Don’t forget to eat!
I’m stockpiling soups too, so I don’t have to think much about the eating (and feeding family). I will neglect them all dreadfully but, it’s only one week a year. Are you spinning for Spinzilla? I think there may still be time to register…..it’s so much fun!
